Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo REVIEW!!!

Hello loves!! So I was kind of late jumping on this foundation train, even though I have always wished so badly that I had it to cover my cheetah face of freckles, but I could never justify the price. Well last week I went out on a limb and said what the heck. Why not?! I ordered it from Amazon and it was about $38 I believe with free shipping. It was here in TWO DAYS! I was super impressed with that. And because I didn't get it until I got done work Monday night, I couldn't try it out until Tuesday.

So on Tuesday October 29th I got ready for work like usual at 11am. The only thing I changed was my foundation. Instead of my regular mixture of Revlon ColorStay and L'Oreal True Match, I used the Kat Von D. The color I got was Medium 52. the color was a perfect match (thank god!) and I used my beauty blender, as usual. The first thing I noticed was it was not blending well at all! I felt splotchy and not fully covered even though I used two pumps while watching YouTube videos of everyone using one pump to cover their entire face. I will never understand that. After I finished, which took longer than normal, I was thinking, 'Ok this looks pretty darn good!'. Until I got up  close to the mirror. It was as if I had the foundation on all day, it was starting to peel away from my nose which never ever happens to me even after a long days work, and my forehead... I had never seen such a thing. It didn't take well to my expression wrinkles on my forehead. they were permanently indented and the more I tried to fix it the worse it got. I took a makeup pad, that usually comes with face powders and pressed powder into my forehead in hopes to fill in the wrinkles.

I wasn't feeling happy at all... even the whole ride to work I was disappointed. When I checked myself at work, and through out the rest of the night until I got home, it actually looked half way decent. Tuesday was actually my Friday at work, so i was able to experiment with it some more the next day (yesterday) because I really wanted this foundation to work for me, like everyone else.

So yesterday came, was time to get ready for the day. I decided that instead of using the beauty blender right off I would try my fingers first then I would blend it better with the beauty blender. AMAZING!! It looks absolutely stunning! You ever have one of those days where everything works out perfectly?! Yesterday was one of those days. I immediately fell in love with the foundation. It wore absolutely amazing, and I was a bad lady and last night I fell asleep downstairs and was never able to take my makeup off. I woke up this my makeup was STILL in tact and fantastic looking!

For the conclusion, I absolutely love this foundation and could very easily see this as my holy grail. Hands down. I think that if this si something you want to or plan to purchase in the future you need to experiment with different techniques for putting it on.

This Or That Tag FAIL!!!

Hello loves I had to erase this tag, it was insane. There was way too many questions and being mostly just one word answers I was like who the heck wants to read all this?? I am sorry! 

I'll use this space though for something else that I feel is important. My oldest children are 7 and 11. My son being 11 and my oldest girl being 7. As odd as it sounds, I do not remember my childhood at all. It's as if someone literally erased my mind from birth til yesterday. My memory sucks. And I hate it for that part, not remembering my younger years! I do know though, that deep down, society was not like it is now back when I was younger. And I do not want to go into rants and raves about society now a days but I do feel it is important for parents to understand just how different it is now. 

My son got bullied not too long ago, by one of his friends. Someone he played with all summer one day started to pick on him and beat him up on their bike rides and etc. What it was for? I don't know. He didn't talk about it too much but seeing him come out the way he did to tell his father and I was heartbreaking. Sure my son will throw fits, and sometimes cries when he doesn't get what he wants, typical of any kid. But these tears were tears of hurt and I didn't know what to do at all. 

Like I said I am not going to go into rants or anything, I just think it is super duper important that parents are 100% actively involved in their children's life. I think we got rid of the problem with this certain kid, and I thank god that my son was able to be open and willing to let us know right away. There are too many bad endings to kids being bullied. Its horrible. Love your children!!

Sometimes I just can't help it!!

Hello loves! Ive been up since the early early hours (about 5am) and cannot sleep for anything. Its too late if I wanted to anyways I have to get the kids up for school in 10 minutes! I just wanted to write this real quick. So last night I got home a little after 10pm, and there was 5 packages here for me.They weren't supposed to be here til today sometime, but I'm NOT complaining!! I did a little amazon.com shopping a few days ago. I got the Kat Von D lock it foundation, Marc Jacobs 'Daisy' roller ball to test out the hype and OHHHH BOY does that ever smell stunning! I'm going to throw it in my work bag for touch ups through the day. I also got MAC lipstick in Creme d'Nude. I have been wanting to try that FOREVER it seems, and I got a really good deal on amazon, just like I did everything. I also ordered some military gum. If you have never heard of it, it is gum with 100mg of caffeine per piece.  And that's it I believe. I am super excited to try out the foundation today. I got medium 52 so hopefully it matches!!

15 Weird Facts TAG!!!

Hello loves!! I was watching YouTube this morning and came across a unique tag and figured what the heck... good idea since it's been a few days MIA. So here it is, and after the TAG I will have a little update for you!! :)

15 WEIRD FACTS!

1. What is a nickname only your family calls you? *This is super bizarre, but the answer is 'ToeJo' pronounced just as it looks. Told you it was bizarre! I don't know where that ever came from and never asked lol.
2. What is a weird habit of your? *This is tough... I don't really have a weird habit. I have a set routine on the days I work. I can't listen to music at all until I get in the car to leave for work and I cant eat anything at all until I eat my first mint of the day (I eat like half a bag of mints at work).. not really habit though I guess...just a strange routine.
3. Do you have any phobias? *I have many phobias and the worst one would have to be spiders.. all bugs in general I freak out over even flies, but spiders in particular.
4. What is a song you secretly LOVE and love to belt out when you're alone? *I don;t have a particular song, but I usually randomly sing songs that are played on nick jr. in the morning. I'm a mom though, so I can :)
5. What is one of your biggest pet peeves? *May sound mean, but my biggest pet peeve is when you ask someone a question and they clearly hear you but they say 'what' out of habit or something!
6. What's one of your nervous habits? *I would have to say it'd be playing with my fingers or hair
7. What side of the bed do you sleep on? *If you are at the foot of the bed I lay on the right hand side... its always the side against the wall. I guess so if a burglar comes in they get the boyfriend first :)
8. What was one of your first stuffed animals and its name? *I don;t recall my first stuffed animal, would have been like 28 years ago :(
9. Whats the drink you ALWAYS order at Starbucks? UNFORTUNATELY I don't have a Starbucks, the closest is 3 hours away, but i do have a dunking donuts and the drink I get from there is a Large caramel latte with whole milk, sugar and whipped cream.. deliciousness
10. Whats the beauty rule you preach...but never actually follow? I don;t necessarily preach any beauty rule, but I know you are supposed to take your makeup off before bed, and I never ever do.
11. Which way do you face in the shower? *Both ways... mostly with my back against the shower but turn around when I gotta wash the front of me :)
12. Do you have any 'weird' body skills? * No strange body skills here!
13. Whats your favorite comfort food/food that's bad but you eat anyways? *I don;t have a comfort food, but I eat junk alllll the time. Literally. I don;t eat fruits and vegetables and havent since I was a baby. I don't like the taste or texture of any of them.
14. Whats a phrase or exclamation you always say? *SERIOUSLY?!? Haha,. i overuse that word.
15. Time to sleep...what are you actually wearing? *The boyfriend hates it, but when I sleep I am in a full on attire. I have a t-shirt, hoodie, sweatpants and socks haha

I Can't Cheat On My Sponge!!!

Hello loves! So on a recent post I was oh so super excited because I found the Expert Face brush by Samantha Chapman in my local drug store! I had been wanting one so so bad, but did not want to pay double the amount because of shipping charges. So until recently I had just fantasized and wished for one.

I was in the drugstore and ALWAYS have to make a point to look down every makeup aisle, I mean, it's only natural! They had so many brushes, probably every brush she offers and only one expert brush left I was like, Oh YESSS baby! It was like 7pm so I couldn't try it out til the next morning (yesterday morning) and YUCK! I've been using the beauty blender for almost a year now. I've tried the elf flat top powder brush to apply foundation (liquid) before too and both elf and the expert face brush left MAJOR brush lines all over my face. :(

I have no clue what I am doing wrong. I was going to purchase the sigma F80 to see about that, but now I'm like why even waste my money?! I wish it would have worked for me, it looks amazing watching people who it does work for.

I wanted to Love this brush :(

Maybe someone can offer me advice and guidance!! :)

Found an amazing discovery at a local drug store!!!!

Hello lovies!!! So this news may not be super exciting for you but let me just say I was as happy as a kid in a toy store when I was at Kinney Drugs and looked down to see a whole row of Samantha Chapman's Real Technique brushes!! They has a bunch of singles and also the travel set and starter set!! I have been wanting to try them for so so long and there was many times I had them in a shopping cart on either Amazon, Samantha's website itself and ebay. Although I never went through with the purchase because I did not want to pay the $5-$7 shipping charge!

So I was in my glory and although I wanted to grab them all and just make a collection of them, I didn't. I just picked up the expert face brush for now. And after I take my shower this morning I will be using the brush (never used ANY brush for foundation before) for the first time. Depending on how impressed I am, I just may have to go back to the store and get some more different ones. I did grab the last expert brush though so they must be pretty popular.

I will update this post this afternoon after I have used it and maybe insert a couple pics. I want to go and see how people clean them though.

I know this was short and sweet but like I said, this made me so so so happy!!

Quick Little Update!

Hello loves!! Been awhile since I've posted it feels like. I am thinking about grabbing all my current faves at the moment and making a blog post about that. I would not be good with monthly favorites. I don't think anyways.

So this morning for some unknown reason I cannot seem to wake up! I have had 2 cups of coffee and STILL feel like I need another 8 hours of sleep! Which is totally bizarre because ever since my first child (11 years ago!) I have averaged the same amount of 5 hours sleep a night. Maybe it's just all catching up to me now after all these years?! Bummer.

Today is my last day off then it is back to work tomorrow so I plan on making the most of today. There is not that much cleaning to be done, I did accomplish quite a bit yesterday even though I didn't realize I did until it was almost bed time and I sat down for 5 minutes and looked at all I had done. Was quite proud of myself seeing how I tend to 'not have anything to do' all day!

Enough rambling, more posts up today!!

Hello Lovies!! This tag has been floating around YouTube and caught my eye so I was like, meh, what the heck! It's by no means offensive and isn't intended to pick on/ hurt anyone at all!! In fact I have seen a couple "common Asian girl tag" going as well. It's a time killer, so here it goes!

-I have yet to try Starbucks, there is not one even withing 200 miles of me, and being a coffee drinker, I cannot wait to come across one!

-Haha, literally an hour at the least! My BF likes to make fun of me, but hey, it takes time to be beautiful!

-Probably around 1 at least

-No longer in school, but about a B average

GUESS WHAT I GOT IN THE MAIL?!?

Yep, it came so fast, the $50 gift card for target I won at Sam Schuerman's blog contest! I've never won anything before and it was so amazing and I was so happy!! It actually came in the mail yesterday but because I work til 9pm I didn't see it in there til this morning, and you can bet your sweet pumpkins that I used that sucker up today! I splurged on myself on things I can't get around here, because we don't have a target so I did have to purchase these things online:
